Amsterdam-based Dutch/Caribbean band Rootsriders was formed to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Bob Marley’s death.
Over the years, the band has not only become a fixture on the Dutch live circuit, but has also performed all over the world, from the Caribbean to Istanbul and from New York to Johannesburg, where they had the honor of performing at halftime of the 2010 World Cup soccer final in front of over 100,000 people.
Former The Voice sensation Mitchell Brunings has been a member of Rootsriders for many years.
His blind audition of Bob Marley’s Redemption Song went viral worldwide.

The Rootsriders will pay live tribute to the king of reggae, celebrated over 40 years after his death with the release of a biopic on February 14, 2024: Bob Maley One Love, proving that his music and message of universal love still resonates with millions of people around the world.
